Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders return to hit the frontier trail in this movie. Roy Rogers stars as a veteran of the Spanish American War who joins the Texas Patrol with several of his Rough Rider buddies. The group immediately clashes with the villainous Arizona, whos gang robs stagecoaches and the local prospectors of their hard-earned gold. With the help of his Rough Riders and especially his grizzled sidekick Rusty, Toy attempts to rid the range of the outlaw band.

Ok, bought it, watched it, and found no scene that could be considered Rhyolite. Although the IMDB lists Rhyolite, Nevada as the filming location I have to disagree strongly. Nowhere in the film is there any area that resembles the town of Rhyolite in any way. We do not have trees, we do not have a lake, and in 1939 Rhyolite looked much like it does today with the only complete buildings being the Railroad Depot and the Bottle House. Sorry folks, if you are interested in films from Rhyolite, this is not one of them. If you like old westerns and Roy Rogers, it is a pretty good film. I will leave this listed only because of the believe it was filmed here, but please be aware there are no scenes depicting Rhyolite.
