  • The Beatty Museum and Historical Society is located in Beatty, Nevada. 4 miles from Rhyolite. More information on the Bullfrog Mining District. Stop in and visit for awhile.

  • The Goldwell Open Air Museum offers an unusual experience as you view bigger than life statues at the entrance to Rhyolite.
  • This Nevada History page has a lot to offer. Visit ghost towns all over Nevada complete with historical pictures.

  • Ghost Town Adventures is a great place to visit. Roam ghost towns all over the west with Ripley and his owners.

  • The Old West has links to ghost towns all over the west. Some great western history too!

  • A to Z Las Vegas gives you a look at the other side of Las Vegas. Great site for history and finding out just what is out there to visit. Check out ghost towns under "The Other Side of Vegas" listing. Also has info on hotels, shows, etc.

  • Goldsheets has links to other sites concerning the history of Gold Mining, current prices, equipment, companies, etc. Just about anything you want to know about Gold Mining is here. Have fun.

  • This site is well written and loaded with information about the Tonopah Tidewater Railroad.

  • Allen Patera's Western Places is a great site for history buffs. Books on ghost towns and historical mining towns throught the west. Author of "Rhyolite The Boom Years"


    Beatty, Nevada - Shopping, Eateries, Places to Stay, and just have fun


    Beatty is a full service town of around 1000 residents.
  • The Amargosa Toad offers little of everything and a lot of fun. You can get lost in this house of treasures.
  • Stagecoach Hotel and Casino is at the far north end of Beatty on HWY 95.
  • El Portal Motel is located on Main Street across from the Beatty Museum.
  • Death Valley National Park The home page for Death Valley Park Services.
  • Beatty Baptist Church is located on State route 374 heading towards Death Valley.
